I am using firmware RUT9XX_R_00.06.08.3.
My email provider now requires the use of TLS 1.2 and since now the router does not send incoming SMS to my email address any more. In the system log I find “email sending failed to …” The forwarding SMS to email did work before. Do I have to update to a newer firmware? Which version of TLS is supported by which firmware version of Teltonika?
Thanks for help!
The newest RutOS versions support TLS/SSL for SMTP and POP connections, thus everything should work correctly if you migrate to the newest version.
I’d recommend performing the update with the option to “Keep settings” disabled. This will help avoid any configuration migration issues.
Would an update to RUT9XX_R_00.06.09.5 do it, because I prefer the ‘old’ WebGUI or do I have to migrate to one of the 7-Versions with a complete different GUI?
The aforementioned update only includes a few patches, it does not add any new features. RutOS 7 is currently the only way.
