Firewall Rules rutx14

Good afternoon,

I’m trying to configure firewalls rules on RUTX14. Here is what i want :

1. Allows only 1 Lan IP to access Remote WAN IP on specific port
2. Deny all other traffic from lan to wan
3. Deny all other traffic from Wan to Lan

I already create some rules, but when i test it, it seems that all the traffic is allowed.

Can somebody help me ?

Hello,

Allows only 1 LAN IP to access the Remote WAN IP on a specific port

The source IP should be the LAN IP that you want to allow access to, destination address should be the WAN IP that you want to allow access to. Source port should be kept at any, destination port should be the port that you said was “specific”

Deny all other traffic from LAN to WAN

Deny all other traffic from WAN to LAN

After creating these rules, I would suggest “grabbing” and pushing them at the top of the traffic rules list as seen here:

After pushing the rules up, save & apply, and try the configuration.

Regarding the last rule for denying all other traffic from WAN to LAN, I forgot to select the protocols, make sure to select TCP & UDP.
