Firewall rules RUT200 outgoing traffic

Hello, we want to be connected to severals RUT200 with fixed IP from a RUT200 with also a fixed IP so that we can use it everywherre.

For the moment it is not OK. I wonder if there is specific rules to input so that it could be possible.

Hello,

If I understand correctly, you want to monitor and manage these devices remotely. The best option would be to configure a VPN connection.

We have a wiki page that outlines all the VPN options available for the RUT200: RUT200 VPN Setup. Here, you can find detailed instructions and information about each VPN type.

If I misunderstood your request and you’re looking to configure something else, please provide more details, including the network topology and all device IPs. Thank you!

Best regards,

Hello Marija, thanks for your help, i give you more details.

We succed to connect to a RUT200 (we call it RUT A which is in the house of a client connected to a heat pump) from the fixed IP of our company with a normal internet network. We use SIM CARDS Things Mobile, each SIM card gets a fixed IP.

We want also connect to this RUT200 (RUT A) with another RUT200 (we call it RUT B which has his own fixed IP) so that we can connect to RUT A everywhere we are (we want to use the RUT B internet network).

But for the moment it doesn’t work. That’s why I wonder if there is specifics rules to manage directly in the RUT B. I Hope it’s more clear for you.

Thank you for the clarification. As I mentioned earlier, I believe the best option would be to set up a VPN where RUT A acts as the server and RUT B as the client. This setup will allow you to connect to RUT A using RUT B from anywhere. I hope this clarifies why I recommended using a VPN.

Please let me know if you have any further questions regarding this.

Best regards,
