Hi,
I am connecting an RUT950 with firmware RUT9XX_R_00.06.09.5 to the RMS platform, but I am encountering the issue “Failure (Error: Expired license.)”. I noticed that this is due to the device already being linked to another company. I have already unlinked and relinked it (which also deducted some credits), but I am still facing the same problem. How should I proceed?
Tks

Hello,
Thank you for reaching out.
When re-registering your device to the RMS platform, you should have received an Authentication Code at the end of the process. This code needs to be entered into the device. You can do this in one of two ways:
- Via WebUI:
- Navigate to Services → Cloud Solutions in the WebUI.
- Insert the Authentication Code and press Connect.
- Via SMS Commands (if WebUI is not accessible):
- Send the following commands to the router via SMS, replacing
<admin password>
with the router’s admin password andyour auth code
with the received Authentication Code:
<admin password> uci set rms_mqtt.rms_connect_mqtt.auth_code='your auth code' && uci commit rms_mqtt
Then:
<admin password> rms_connect
Additionally, please check the previous thread here: Additional authentification RUT240, as it may provide helpful insights into your issue.
Let me know if you encounter any further difficulties during this process.
Best regards,
Thank you, I tried but it doesn’t work. I believe the issue is that the device is registered to another company. These are refurbished devices. How can I unlink it?
