Factory Reset from the RMS?

Hi, short question with a hopefully short answer: Can I reset a RUTX router to factory settings from the RMS or do I need to log in to the WebUI?

If the answer is “log in from WebUI”, would it be a good idea to save a backup from a freshly resetted device and just restore that one if I want a virgin RUTX?

There’s no actual button for factory resetting from RMS without logging into the WebUI, however, there is a workaround that you could do, which would be upgrading the device firmware without keeping the device settings:

This would basically erase all the configurations and would also perform a firmware update/reflash/downgrade (whatever firmware version you currently have, and whatever firmware version you’re going for).
