Event report does not report wget reboot

Hi,
i have a lot of rut240 (fw 07.04.5)
I setted wget reboot and it works fine.
I setted events reporting with type “Reboot” and subtype “Ping reboot” but when the device reboot i don’t receive the report.
I receive the report if i choose as subtype “All”, but i want receive the report ONLY on wget reboot.
Is it possible?
thanks

Hello,

I have tried event reporting on v 7.04.5 with ‘reboot’ type and ‘ping reboot’ subtype, but was unable to replicate the issue. I have successfully received an SMS message on ping reboot.

Please, try restoring the device to factory defaults in System → Backup, and try again.

Kind Regards,

I don’t receive the report on wget reboot.
On ping reboot works fine.
Can you try with wget reboot?
Of course with event reports set on ‘reboot’ and subtype ‘ping reboot’
Thanks

Hello,

Thank you for the information.

I was able to replicate this with Wget and forwarded it to the RnD department for clarification on whether this behavior is intentional or not. I’ll keep you posted here as soon as I receive any updates.

Kind Regards,

Hello,

I have received some information from the RnD team and, as promised, updating you on this case. It appears that this is the intended behaviour as the subtype specifically says ‘ping reboot’. However, the team also said that it is a good idea to add support for Wget reboot as a separate subtype in the future. This feature is not of a high priority, so there are no timelines as to when this will be added.

In this case, I would suggest using the ‘all’ subtype to receive alerts about wget reboots. Apologies for the inconvenience.

Kind Regards,
