Down Lan ports alerts

Hi, I’m trying to configure a network of RUT50 routers to notify me when any LAN ports go down using the Alerts and Automation feature in RMS.

The issue I’m running into is that the parameters I’ve configured in my monitoring templates don’t appear to be available within Alerts and Automation.

Are there any built-in parameters (dynamic, static, or otherwise) that I can use to trigger an alert when a LAN device or LAN port goes down?

Greetings, @Rhotk ,

Welcome to Teltonika Community!

Could you please clarify if the alert should be sent if the port is disabled or if it has no devices connected to it?

This will narrow down the investigation and I will be able to assist you more effectively.

I look forward to your reply,

Warm regards,
V.

Hi Vilius,

My objective is, I have routers all over the country and they have CCTV,NVR and a PC attached. I would like to receive an alerts if any of these devices loose their Lan connections for whatever reason. Eg faulty cable or end device has lost power. Hopefully this is more clear?

Would just like to chime in here, as I’m looking for this exact same feature. We’re looking into Teltonika equipment for use in building automation cabinets. We need to monitor whether devices get disconnected/reconnected from a switch, or if the connected MAC address to a port changes.

I ran into the same issue, that this data cannot be used in an automation because its in an array or object.

Can you advise on how we could monitor this?

Greetings,

I hope this message finds you well.

We are still investigating the case, and I will provide you with an update as soon as I receive more information from the RMS team.

In the meantime, your patience and understanding are very much appreciated.

Best regards,
V.
