Config file import and export

Hi everyone,
I’m looking for a way to export a configuration file from one RUTx device and import that configuration file to another RUTx device.
For example, I’m using a RUT956 and I want to export the configuration to another RUT956.
Is this possible and if so, how (I haven’t seen any information on Wiki or anywhere else)?
Is this possible locally (without RMS, only via the GUI) or only with RMS or both?

Hi,

Yes, it is possible by using backup functionality (https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/RUT956_Configuration_Backup). Although it has limitations - you must use same device (for e.g RUT956 → RUT951 would not work) and same or older firmware version (https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/RUT956_Configuration_Backup#Uploading_a_configuration_file_to_other_devices)

Also same can be done with RMS via Actions: Export backup and Upload backup

Yes, backup! It wasn’t in my search focus (I was looking for import, export, etc.).
