Cant' access TRB256 WebUI

Hi, I have a TRB256 gateway and I can ping correctly the device with ping 192.168.1.1, I havent added a SIM card yet to the gateway, but it is connected via Ethernet to my PC. When I put 192.168.1.1 in a browser the following is showed.

It is different to the usual Teltonika Interface. I put the credentials of the device, but it says they are incorrect. I have tried also doing the factory reset, but it has not worked. Please, could you tell me what the issue could be. Thanks.

Hello @dancarcausto,

The screenshot you provided looks different from the RutOS WebUI, which suggests that there might be another device on the 192.168.1.1 address. For TRB devices, the default IP address is 192.168.2.1. Please try accessing it using this address and let me know if you are able to open the WebUI.

Thanks for the reply, I have tried accesing the 192.168.2.1 address but the site can’t be reached. My ethernet port is configured to obtain the IP address automatically as well as the DNS, which the TRB256 guide recommends. Please let me know if you have any other suggestions.

Hello,

If you open Command Prompt (on Windows PC) and run the command: ipconfig you will see a list of network interfaces. Look for the Ethernet section and check the Default Gateway — this will be the IP address of your TRB256.

Please let me know whether it shows 192.168.2.1 or a different IP. If it is different, try accessing that IP in your browser and let me know if you are able to reach the WebUI.

Hi, I have tried doing what you told me, but the IP starts with 169.254, and there is no default gateway. Is it necessary for the PC to be only connected to the gateway? My PC is connected to a router, and on the second ethernet port is the gateway.

Hello,

To avoid confusion, please try disconnecting the router and connecting only the TRB256 via Ethernet cable. After that, follow the instructions provided here: QSG TRB256 - Teltonika Networks Wiki.

Let me know if you are able to access it now. Also, please try running ipconfig when only the TRB256 is connected.
