Having trouble connecting my RUT955 router to a Fritzbox WLAN. The router doesn’t seem to obtain an IP address via DHCP, and the status remains ‘Stopped.’ I’ve ensured that the SSID and password are correct, checked encryption settings, and verified signal strength. The firmware version is RUT9_R_00.07.01.4. Any suggestions on how to resolve this issue?
Hello,
A few suggestions before looking deeper into the issue:
-
Try changing the WiFi channel of the Fritzbox to 1;
-
Update the firmware on the RUT955 (your current firmware is close to 2 years old);
-
Ensure the antennas are mounted properly;
-
If none of these options help, please replicate the issue, navigate to System → Administration → Troubleshoot, press the SHOW button on the System Log, and copy the last few minutes of logs from the bottom of the list. Paste them in the next comment, and make sure to remove any sensitive information.
Best regards,
