BTSID1 Activation

I have some brand new BTSID1 Eye Beacons.. these are new devices to me.

Every manual suggests holding a magnet against them should wake them up and flash a green LED.. I am unconvinced there’s an LED on these.. holding a magnet up to them for over 10 seconds doesn’t cause any LED to flash.. is there an updated manual or are there different versions of these devices?

I have 3 devices right up against my IPhone phone running EyeApp, I only see two of the devices appear in the “Devices Near Me” list..

Thoughts?

Good Day,

There are two types of EYE BEACONS:

  1. All EYE Sensors with firmware versions starting from 1.2.9.R.8 support hibernation.
  2. Only newer EYE Beacons purchased with specific order codes that include the required hardware modification support hibernation. Standard order codes are available on the EYE page. For special order codes, please consult your sales manager.

As per the code you provided and the information available on the wiki regarding the ordering code, this unit appears to be factory-enabled or ON . However, please confirm this once with your sales manager.

Also, please check whether the sensor is visible in the EYE App or not. If it is not visible, try placing a magnet directly on the EYE sensor for a few seconds and then check again.

If the sensor still does not appear, there may be an issue with the battery. Without checking the device directly, it is difficult to confirm further.
