Bonding from the 2 SIM cards on RUTX12

Hi, is it possible with a RUTX12 to create a bonding with the 2 SIM cards? if not what options do I have to have a similar result, as bonding.

Hello,

Unfortunately, none of Teltonika Networks’ devices support bonding. However, you can utilize the Load Balancing feature, which distributes traffic over multiple connections. While this does not bond the connections together, it effectively allocates available resources among clients and connections.

Please note that load balancing will not provide the same results as bonding. For more useful and detailed information on bonding and load balancing functionalities, I recommend checking the following wiki articles:

Best regards,

Hi, thank you for you kind reply. I kind of figured it out. I was wondering if I use the same carrier for both sims, hypothetically should I be able to have more input or double it if I use load balancing… not having saturation issues or doubling the chances (load balancing 50/50). I tend to think that that could be a solution or option. “Carrying” more load. Same carrier*; actually it’s giving me 20 ~ 30 mbps, 1 sim.

hi wondering if there’s any reply?

Hello,

Apologies for a delayed response.

Just to clarify, when using load balancing, traffic will be distributed over both mobile connections (SIM1 and SIM2), regardless of the carrier.

Theoretical total throughput using both SIMs can be calculated with this formula:
SIM1 (speed) + SIM2 (speed) - 0.15 × (SIM1 (speed) + SIM2 (speed))

In brief, under ideal conditions, the total load balancing speed can hypothetically be doubled when traffic is split/shared between multiple connections.

Best regards,
