Auto-renewal for RMS Connection Data Pack 150 GB / 10 Year

Hi,

We’re using several RMS Connection Data Pack 150 GB (10 Year) licenses for RMS Connect / VPN Hub.

When the 150 GB limit is reached, the device starts using company-level data credits, but we can’t find any option to auto-renew or automatically assign a new 150 GB pack.

Can you confirm if automatic renewal or chaining of 150 GB packs is possible?
If not, is there any plan to add this feature in future RMS updates?

Greetings,

Currently, auto-renewing packs is not an option, so you’ll have to re-assign your packs manually. After checking with the RMS team, it looks like this is not something that they are planning on implementing, at least for the time being.

Regards,
M.

Thanks for confirming!

One more question — is there any way to get a notification or alert when a RMS Connection Data Pack 150 GB (10 Year) is close to empty or fully used?

I can see alert options for most other RMS resources (offline, SIM data, etc.), but I can’t find any related to the data usage of these 150 GB packs.

Is this possible through the RMS UI, or maybe via the API?

Hi, Roger,

For the time being, this isn’t an option either, due to the fact that packs are meant to be an “apply and forget” option for our users.

Regarding API, you may look into this specific endpoint: API Reference | Developers

One of the lines it returns is "remaining_data": 1, which you could potentially scan every once in a while to check the remainder, and set up some type of script to send a notification when the remainder is <x

Thank you!
