I’m using RUT906, and trying to connect to the internet with a sim card. The connection was successful (and I was able to see an IP assigned to RUT) until I upgraded to firmware 7.17.3. As soon as the update was installed, I started receiving the popups “Mobile network rejection was recently detected" and “All available APNs were tried, unable to make connection to operator”.
I tried switching to manual APNs’ and also reverted back to 07.16.3 and to 07.15, but still, unable to connect. Following screenshot might help you troubleshoot the issue.
I have the same firmware 07.17.3 on another RUT901, and I am able to connect. I also see in the Networks > Mobile > Connection page in my 901, when I select the Auto APN option, it says functional APN will be automatically detected(as per the following screenshot):
A few things to clarify here: Are the SIM cards (providers) the same for both devices? What are the conditions of these devices? The physical locations? The antennas? What power supplies are being used? I feel like the issue might be something other than the auto APN setting, as the error suggests in the first screenshot, your connection is being rejected (could be caused by a wrong APN, bad signal strengths, connecting to the wrong operator, no PAP/CHAP credentials if required, etc).
Thanks for your response. On double checking, I found that the sim card data limit was all consumed and thus I was getting the connection error. On extending the data limit, I was able to connect flawlessly.
