Hi,

I’m looking for a product that supports the ATD-command (Dial via AT-command). I currently have the TRB140, and it works great, but I also need WiFi, which the TRB140 doesn’t have.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Best regards,
Magnus

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out.

None of the current products from the TRB product line have the hardware to support any kind of Wi-fi connection. All devices are designed to provide internet connection via cellular data or ethernet cable.

However, the majority of our RUT routers have Wi-fi and mobile connection capabilities and can execute AT commands just like TRB.

These devices would be: RUT200, RUT241, RUT260, RUT361, RUT901, RUT951, RUT906, RUT956, RUTX11, RUTX12, RUTX14, RUTX50, RUTXR1, RUTM11, RUTM50, RUTC50, TCR100.

I hope I have answered your question.

I have the RUTX11 aswell. It responds with ‘OK’ to the command, but it doesn’t actually make the call.

I have tested with the RUT241 aswell. - Same result.

Hello,

Thank you for the update.

I could not replicate this issue on RUTX11 running RUTX\_R\_00.07.10 and on RUT241 running RUT2M\_R\_00.07.10.
Updating firmware might solve this issue, however, it appears to be an issue with the modem or the operator configuration.

It would be worth checking if the sim card connects to the operator properly.
You can check if the modem is connected to the operator by “gsmctl -A AT+COPS?” command. It should return the output of the current operator.

Make sure that you are executing the ATD command correctly. It has to be formatted as **gsmctl -A ‘ATD\<phone\_number\>;’** where \<phone\_number\> needs to be changed as +37064444444 and must be enclosed by correct quotes. For example and would look like this:
 ![image](https://community.teltonika.lt/uploads/default/original/2X/e/e53e5bff61c9e2b5c90ef6e7f4120a12f79a7715.png)

You can read more about AT commands on our wiki page:

Additionally, please check if mobile antennas are properly attached. Also, you could use “gsmctl -A ‘AT+CSQ’” command to check the current signal strength. If the command returns output like “+CSQ: 17,99” - you have decent signal strength. You can also check the mobile signal strength on the router’s WEB UI by navigating **Status → Network → Mobile**.

Also, check the sim card itself, if it is not damaged. Test if it is capable of making calls from other devices. If the sim card has PIN code, enter it into the router’s WEB UI by navigating **Network → Mobile → General**.

There might be a case where the operator is issuing a plan that allows only mobile data, without the possibility of making phone calls. Please check with your mobile operator. Also, if possible, try making a call with a different sim card or different operator.

It is also worth checking if your current operator is not on a blacklist of operators in **Network → Mobile → Network Selection**. Check if there are no blacklists created. Additionally, you can try scanning for current operators.

Your current operator‘s status has to be available.

Finally, please check if the phone number of the sim card that is currently in the router is not blocked on the end device that you are trying to call. Try calling other phone numbers if possible.

I hope these tips help to make a phone call from the router, however, if the issue persists, please let us know.

Kind regards,
Arnoldas

Turns out, it was a modem firmware issue.

Version: EG06ELAR04A07M4G is tested on the RUTx11 - and works.

I do however still have and issue with executing MMI-codes for call-forwarding.

I have tried using “gsmctl -A ‘ATD\*\*21_number#;'" and "gsmctl -U '\*\*21_number#’” - Both return “OK”

The \*\*21\*number# - command itself works fine on a smartphone, but it doesn’t setup the call-forwarding on the RUTx11

Running the following firmwares:
RUTX\_R\_00.07.10
EG06ELAR04A07M4G

Hello,

To set up call forwarding on RUTX11 please refer to the AT Commands manual of the modem that is in RUTX11.

First ensure that call forwarding supplementary service is supported by entering “gsmctl -A ‘AT+CCFC=?’” and it should return
+CCFC: (list of supported s)
OK

Then, you can enter commands like in the first example to enable unconditional call forwarding.

I hope this information helps you to set up call forwarding on your RUTX11.

Kind regards,
Arnoldas.
