Antennas malfunctioning?

Hi!

I hope you can help me with these questions:

1- In a remote GNSS station the 955 router (model 7v) has been replaced by a 951 router but the antennas have not been replaced. Is it possible that this results in a communications failure and that the router crashes due to a mismatch of impedances or similar effect?

2- I would like to know your opinion about the placement of these antennas in the photo(see below).

3- Are these antennas suitable for outdoors?

Thank you in advance and kind regards

Hi,
OP here… any advice?

Good afternoon,

  1. I can confirm that both devices would work the same way with original Teltonika antennas from RUT955.
2/3. The antennas are weatherproof, with an IP33 rating, which means that it can withstand dust and splashing water.

Regards,
Arturas

When you have a metal cabinet and the antennas are magnetic type, put them on top of the cabinet instead of against a non-metal wall.
